During their Outdoor Learning sessions, Year 6 have been working with Mr. Anderson to plan a trek and overnight stay. They had to consider all the logistics of their residential: organising food; plotting out a route using Ordinance Survey maps; learning about risk assessments and preparing their equipment. Mr. Anderson, our Head of Outdoor Learning and Adventure, explained how this is brilliant preparation for DofE, which they will be able to take part in further up the school.

On 2March they met in Storrington to embark ontheir 20km hike. They stopped overnight in Amberley, before walking back toschool the next day. Year 6 were accompanied by MrArson and their formtutors, MsBushnll and MrLelercq, who were all blown away by theirpoiivity and team spirit. Well done to everyone who took part and a hugethank you to the staff involved.
