What better way to launch our new learning enquiry 'Mechanical Mayhem' than with a trip to Brighton Toy Museum. Travelling by train we headed for the museum - underneath the train station. We were wowed by their selection of over 12,000 toys - some as old as our great great grandparents. We explored the museum, created stories, took part in a Meccano challenge, met old and new teddy bears, discovered the different materials used for toys and found out the first toy ever played with was a spinning top over 6000 years ago! Fun fact- did you know teddy bears used to be stuffed with straw?

GB at the World Cup!

The Gothia Cup is an annual World Youth football tournament that has been running since 1975. This year saw over 1900 teams from 72 nations taking part, following the Olympic-style opening ceremony.Raheem and Maksym were delighted to be selected to play for the Prep School Pumas U14 team, representing Prep schools from Kent and Sussex. Despite a few warm up matches in the run up to the tournament, the first time the whole team could play together was once they had reached the tournament itself.
