Over half term, a group of our senior students had the opportunity to visit Berlin. Walking in the region of 80km, they saw over 25 sights covering the Second World War, Cold War, the division of East and West Berlin(and Germany) and modern-day Germany. All our students were engaged and fascinated by many of the sights, with many commenting on how visiting these sights has made their studies come to life. From experiencing Sachsenhausen, the Jewish Museum, the Topography of Terror and the Tranenpalast (Palace of Tears), all sights with harrowing history, to Alexander Platz, the Olympic Stadium and the Brandenburg Gate, amongst others, there was a huge variety of curriculum enhancement, and memories made for a lifetime.
