Centenary Project Winners Announced

We are delighted to announce our Centenary project winners. In celebration of 100 years of Great Ballard, students produced a wide range of projects, which our proprietor, Mrs Jay, was excited to judge.  The junior winners were Rose I and Amelia S-H, with  their lovely model of Mac’s gravestone and history about the famous dog. The senior winner was Charlie A, with his excellent in-depth interview with Chris Jay and the detailed presentation which followed. Our overall winner was William J who composed a special piece of music especially for the landmark. You can hear the version by clicking this link. GB at the World Cup!

The Gothia Cup is an annual World Youth football tournament that has been running since 1975. This year saw over 1900 teams from 72 nations taking part, following the Olympic-style opening ceremony.Raheem and Maksym were delighted to be selected to play for the Prep School Pumas U14 team, representing Prep schools from Kent and Sussex. Despite a few warm up matches in the run up to the tournament, the first time the whole team could play together was once they had reached the tournament itself.
