Great Ballard embraced National Storytelling Week with a wonderful range of creative activities across the school.

Year 6 pupils channelled their inner authors by designing imaginative book covers, with an intriguing blurb to hook potential readers. Meanwhile, Years 1 and 2 enjoyed an inspiring online workshop with author Annemarie Anang, following a musical story and adding their own ideas through body percussion before being challenged to finish the tale themselves.

Year 9 students teamed up with Year 3 to help them map out their own stories, focusing on themes of personal identity. The younger pupils then took part in a series of storytelling sound activities specially created by Year 9.

It's been great to see such creativity and collaboration in action.
