Over the past few weeks, Years 1 and 2 have been learning all about Antartica. From the measuring of Emperor Penguins (they are about the same size as the puils!), creating of beautiful sketches of the wildlife found in the far north, all the way to understanding weather patterns, pupils have become fully emersed in their learning.

To both coincide with Children's Mental Health Week and support their current learning, pupils took their classroom outside, gathering the essentials and setting off with Antarctica in their sites. Armed with sledges packed with maps, torches, tents and sleeping bags, the team successfully navigated their way to the base camp, where a delicious and freshly-baked cake was enjoyed!
