Great Ballard make Duke of Edinburgh History!

At the end of the Summer term a group of intrepid Year 9s and 10s set out into the South Downs for their assessed Bronze  expedition. This was our first ever D of E group and it was exciting to see so many senior students keen to take part. Our Duke of Edinburgh programme is led by Tom Anderson, Head of Adventure, and as a school that prides ourselves on our outdoor learning provision and encouraging students to embrace challenge and leadership opportunities, we are so proud of all those who have taken part. From planning their time and routes, to cooking their own food and working out what to do when the path didn't take them quite where they expected, we believe that the opportunity to participate provides invaluable life skills for everyone.
