Monday saw the start of a series of events relating to race, gender, religion, and sexuality, all to celebrate a week of diversity discussions here at GB. Our Head of PSHE and Key Stage 4 Personal Development Lead, Joanne Sykes, has create a brilliant schedule of thought-provoking, debate-inducing, and inspirational experiences between a wide range of professionals and our pupils. From Eirene Donohue (US script writer) promoting visibility of East Asians in Hollywood, to Rowena Samarasinhe (International sports lawyer) celebrating women and girls in sport, and Elias Vouzounis (F3 Senior House Officer), discussing sexuality and diversity, our pupils have become even more aware of the power of celebrating diversity and exploring important issues that impact us all.
