A Trip to Butser Ancient Farm

On 11th March our Year 3 and 4 pupils travelled back in time to visit Butser Ancient Farm. At this amazing open-air archaeological centre they had the chance to discover every day life for the Saxons and Romans, which has been the focus of their recent Humanities lessons. They explored ancient buildings, learned the skill of building flint walls, dug for artifacts, and perhaps most excitingly of all for our young historians, discovered what bathrooms were like thousands of years ago!

GB at the World Cup!

The Gothia Cup is an annual World Youth football tournament that has been running since 1975. This year saw over 1900 teams from 72 nations taking part, following the Olympic-style opening ceremony.Raheem and Maksym were delighted to be selected to play for the Prep School Pumas U14 team, representing Prep schools from Kent and Sussex. Despite a few warm up matches in the run up to the tournament, the first time the whole team could play together was once they had reached the tournament itself.
