Eartham House, which has been the home of Great Ballard School for the last fifty years, is a magnificent country house set in 30 acres of glorious Sussex countryside and has direct access to the medieval church of St Margaret's. The house has many Regency features and was extensively enlarged and remodelled by the famous architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens, at the beginning of the 20th century.
Eartham House is an ideal venue for weddings, dinners and parties. Your day will be idyllic in this wonderful setting, and our friendly and experienced staff will provide a happy and relaxed atmosphere for your special occasion. This beautiful historic building in a quiet, unspoilt hamlet is exclusively yours with full use of the dining room, conservatory, reception halls, drawing room, adjoining dance and entertainment room, extensive gardens and ample free parking for your special day.
We can arrange your day to suit your budget and ensure you have access to the best florists, photographers and entertainment to fit your requirements. Our recently refurbished dance studio provides the ideal separate but adjoining dance and entertainment facility. Our dining room and conservatory can accommodate either a formal sit-down meal or buffet, the choice is yours. A marquee on the adjoining south lawn can provide added space if needed.
