FAQ

  • Can my child join half way through a school term?
Yes, we welcome new children at all stages of the academic year regardless of their age. We operate a buddy system for all new pupils joining mid-term to ensure they are looked after and can integrate quickly into their new surroundings with the support of a pupil who is familiar with the school and surroundings.
  • Can we visit the school during school hours?
Yes, as well as holding regular open day events at the school, we can arrange a visit and tour of the school anytime. Visits during school hours provide a great insight into how the school operates on a day to day basis, providing a great opportunity to see our facilities in action and meet teachers and other pupils in their everyday environment. Please contact us before your visit so we can ensure a member of staff is free to show you around the school and answer any questions you may have.
  • What are your designated minibus routes?
We offer a number of local minibus routes to collect and drop off pupils each day. This is all part of our wraparound care provision which includes the option of breakfast club, after-school tea and evening activities to cater for parents who cannot drop off or pick up their children during work hours. For a full list of our minibus routes, please contact the office on 01243 814236 office@greatballard.co.ukor email.
